Celantra Systems History

Celantra Systems was founded in 1984 in San Francisco by Hans Kolbe and John Caron as one of the first PC-based manufacturing software companies designed for small and medium sized clothing manufacturers and distributors in the United States. Celantra Systems catered to the growing market of eco-friendly and organic clothing industries in Northern California, Southern California, and the New York City area. By demonstrating continuing dedication and client satisfaction, Celantra Systems developed a loyal client base of approximately four hundred customers throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Faced with the decline of the domestic clothing industry, Celantra Systems was forced to reevaluate its potential and its business model.  Hans Kolbe decided to focus his future career on international business processes, while John Caron started down a new career path in scientific research, leading atmospheric research and building climate models.

Hans Kolbe started to work for Oracle Corporation in its international implementation division.  As a leader of the “Oracle One” Global Implementation Team, Hans was transferred to Paris, France for three years, advising on multi-national implementations for Texas Instruments, General Electric, and PPG Industries.

Upon Hans' return to the United States in 2001, Celantra Systems was revived. To respond to the dynamic growth of the global economy, Hans shifted Celantra's focus and updated its structure to concentrate on international consulting.

Revolutionizing Celantra Systems

Faced with the decline of the domestic clothing industry, Celantra Systems was forced to reevaluate its potential and its business model. Hans Kolbe decided to focus his future career on international business processes, while John Caron started down a new career path in scientific research.

While the two men reshaped their interests, Celantra Systems experienced a dormant period. Hans Kolbe’s affinity for international business led him to work for Oracle Corporation in their international implementation division. As a leader of the Oracle One Global Implementation Team, Hans was transferred to Paris, France for three years, advising on multi-national implementations for Texas Instruments, General Electric, and PPG Industries.

Celantra Systems was revived upon Hans Kolbe’s return to the United States in 2001. Shifting its focus and updating its structure to concentrate on international consulting, responding to the dynamic growth of the global economy.
